Switch mechanisms and Bottleneck layout

Finished up a few more switch stands using an actual slide switch (available at most electronic supply stores for next to nothing). These switches are nice and hold the points firmly in place, just like they were made to do this.

Rereading some past posts revealed that I did not adequately cover the final changes to Bottleneck (pics 3 & 4). There is now a mainline running through town that connects to Rock Ridge yard. The track closest to the edge of the layout is actually a large runaround track that bypasses Rock Ridge yard, and can be used to hold a train for passing purposes. It also has a small branch siding that will serve some sort of industry.
