I cut out the plywood curve sections for both levels of subroadbed yesterday and today, then installed staging yard turnarounds. Probably my least favorite work so far due to the mess, noise, and threat of sudden death that is the jigsaw. You can see the Oakridge area subroadbed leaning against the wall. It will be elevated of course, and will be installed after I complete the trackwork on the staging level below. The plywood was all marked up with incorrect cut markings that I laid out with a black marker pen, so I painted them to reduce the confusion. Once all the staging subroadbed is built and installed, I will install homosote roadbed to keep the noise level down. I will be glad to be laying track again, one of my favorite activities!
